The short version

Checked keeps a venue's food safety records: opening and closing checks, fridge and freezer temperatures, deliveries, the allergen chart, and who did each one. The venue decides what goes in those records, and we keep them for it. We don't sell anything, show adverts or share data with other venues.

Who we are

Checked is run by Robert Smith, trading as Full Stop Hospitality, in Glasgow. Full Stop Hospitality also makes Rota Done and Seated. Contact: hello@fullstophq.co.uk.

For the records a venue keeps (including its staff's names on them), the venue is the data controller and Checked is its processor. For accounts (owners and managers who sign in), Checked is the data controller.

What we store

Where it is kept and who else sees it

How long we keep it

Records can't be changed or deleted from inside Checked. That's on purpose: a food safety record an inspector sees has to show what really happened. A mistake is fixed with a correction that keeps the original. Records are kept for as long as the venue uses Checked.

When a venue leaves, email us and we delete the venue, its records, its staff names and its team within one month, apart from copies in our backups, which expire within six months. Download them first if you need to keep them: the records report downloads as a PDF for any dates you choose. An account you close is deleted the same way.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your details, object to how they are used, or take a copy. Email hello@fullstophq.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you work at a venue that uses Checked, you can also ask your employer, who decides what goes into its records.

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
